Sorry for the cross-posting here. My son is almost five. He has a very

difficult time grounding himself and focusing. He needs alot of

physical activity. I have been chelating him for a year and I'm

wondering about trying Ritalin or Arbuteral. I would like to hear

anyone's experiences with either one of these drugs especially while

chelating.

Thanks

Penny

Penny,

I only know that my friends who have kids that have tried ritalin or

other drugs have not had much success. My son is almost five, end of

September, I have been tempted but I am concerned about the

decreasing the dendrites in the brain. I am trying DMAE, 30mg in the

morning for a 44lb child. I have been taking it myself to improve

attention (brain is on overload) and I really like it. I seem to

need less sleep. A friend of mine has her child taking focus factor

and it made a world of difference.

Good Luck,

nne

TErri,

As per Andy Cutler's book, " DMAE- a lipid soluble precursor of

choline, which is MUCH more effective at raising brain levels of the

neurotransmitter acetylcholine than are choline or

phosphatidylcholine. This is helpful in correcting attention deficit

such as the inability to concentrate on things, ...... "

I bought it at the healthfood store. I bought the liquid form

because I would have more control over how much to give. They sell

different forms of focus fatctor AT HEALTH FOOD STORES ALSO.
