Guest guest Posted April 5, 2000 Report Share Posted April 5, 2000 Thanks to all who advised me on choosing the device. Surgery was this morning and it went very well. Lark has had surgery before so the aftermath was nothing new. I decided on the Clarion Hi-Focus, which is part of a study, I guess because it's the newest model, and there were at least a dozen FDA people in the OR observing! Good thing it was a big room. Lark is having some oozing from the ear canal, which is upsetting her. They told me to expect it but it's hard to know how much is normal. There's not much swelling behind the ear so far. She's up and around, ate several times in small amounts, and is now working on her math workbook. She's also making a list for a shopping trip tomorrow: donuts, rice krispies, Pokemon video. She's pleasantly surprised at the location of the shaved area; it looks like her hair will cover it well.
