Re: (was) seeking dx, family situations (now also ) comfort, Marilyn,

Thanks for your reply and interest, Sharon, an MS sister! I am another woman who has reached the age of maturity to opt for comfort rather than style! (But isn't braless flowing robes a style???) LOL! My birkie wearing priest brother is Anglican (Episcopalian). My father was one too, and also wore running shoes (with special inserts), under his robes. Now how did you know that??? Young couples coming to him for marriage preparation just loved this "cool" priest! He had MS for 46 years - RR, until about the last 10 years when it was Progressive. Though retired, and quite disabled, with assistance, he still performed the basics in a small community church and performed his last wedding and a baptism 2 weeks before he died of a stroke at 79. He was certainly a terrific MS role model ~ but difficult to live up to!

Diagnosed with PPMS, In Canada, made me ineligible for any of the CRAB drugs, but for a full year I had 3 days every month of IV SoluMedrol ~ until I suffered a complete liver failure. I was on the transplant list until it healed, but for 5 years I could not have any drugs, not even aspirin. I do use naturals, vitamins and diet.

May 2005 I had an "unexpected sudden severe progression," was bedridden for awhile and chose to risk another round of corticosteroids which brought me back enough to be able to be wheelchair confined, but at least mobile. Did we ever dream in our youth, that one day we would be so thankful to own a wheelchair? I am so lucky to have a power chair - with elevating legs and tilt back! I am fairly advanced (8.5) but don't talk about it too much...each of us is affected in different ways. It has been nice to read recently that I am not so 'odd' after all... seems we all have big feet, visions, bladder issues, and caring hearts!

Now you most of the basics about me... One thing you may not know about me is, "I am too blessed to be stressed." I am so fortunate to be MS Blessed! I pray for special needs I read on these pages and ask God to Bless everyone here. There is not much I can do anymore, but I can sure pray! I have learned so much from all of you and am thankful for having this site as part of my daily life. (((Hugs))) Marilyn

My dreams I am never

disabled. I’m always thin, and younger. My dreams are very detailed, and

wild. My family is always amazed how I can recall them. One of the reasons I don’t

take anti-depressants is because they give me horrific dreams. Nightmares mainly. :-)

I dreamed once that I was a boiled agg and people were trying to crack me and eat me.

I don't often remember my dreams any more for some reason. And I feel sad about that......

Recently I dreamt I was an alien/human mix, living on a ship in the stars. During the dream I was introduced to a lovely human woman and was told she "wears the mask", because humans, when they wanted to interact with them, would put on a mask and it madethem look and *be* just like the aliens. The aliens were very strange, they had heads that were almost toadlike, not ugly though, and strange kinda buggy eyes that has two pupils and could look in all directions, the two pupils could be moved independently. They were VERY civilized and polite entities.

I remember my dreams

because I think I have them right before I am waking up. Or they wake me up. I

get up every morning between 5-6 am, stay up for an hour or so, then I go back

to bed, and that’s when I do most of my remembering dreams.

Dreams are so weird

sometimes. I often wonder why I have some of the most unrelated ones to

anything I’ve been thinking about prior to them. I like to try and

interpret them, but if there is no reference, where do you begin?

Like why in the world

would you dream of being an egg? Do you have any idea where that came from? Lol….

I don't know why I dreamed I was a boiled egg. They say every dream has a meaning but I think a lot of dream interpretation is weird and off base. But what do I know? lol

Once I dreamed I saw a big fat snake. It was short (about 2 feet long) but was fat more like a salamander. The head though was big and round. It turned it's head to look at me and it was my ex-husband's face. Creeeeepy! Both the snake and my ex... lol

I've got one! Once I dreamed that I was trying to bathe my baby, and he kept falling apart, because he was made out of hamburger! Soooo, I bathed him in egg! lol. Trista

Dreams

When I turned 50 I said Hooray! Now I can be Eccentric!! My friends and family looked at me, laughed and said TOO LATE HON!!! I have always been somewhat eccentric and delight in it!

Now, your post brought a question to mind...

Fellow MS'rs...Do you have MS when you dream? Never? Sometimes? All the time?

Just curious...

Peace and Blessings

The snake one would be

more like a “nightmare” to me! I think dreams have meanings. Sylvia Browne says

you play the part of everyone in your dreams. I don’t think I believe that, and

I don’t ascribe to her philosophies in general, but I thought it was amusing to

toy with her idea.

I don't know why I dreamed I was a boiled egg. They

say every dream has a meaning but I think a lot of dream interpretation is

weird and off base. But what do I know? lol

Once I dreamed I saw a big fat snake. It was short

(about 2 feet long) but was fat more like a salamander. The

head though was big and round. It turned it's head to look at me and

it was my ex-husband's face. Creeeeepy! Both the snake and my

ex... lol
