Guest guest
Sonja, I borrowed my copy of TCOYF from the library. We have an inter library loan program, so I can get any book in print. It might be worth checking into. I'd love to be a charter member of CTSAAF - LMAO Tara hello's to all Hiya all, well for some reason I am still not receiving any mail, so I have to read everything here on our site. I will let you know as soon as it is sorted. Sharyn, Your theory of bcp and ep connection makes alot of sense. I conceived 2 weeks after stopping the bcp's and that was the ep. I've had 3 different docs. tell me since then that it was probably the bcp's that caused the ep. Apparantly what happens is the bcp's basically paralyse the little hairy thingies in your tubes, which makes it impossible for the egg to be transported to the uterus. This is caused by all the hormones in the bcp's. I read up on bcp's and their effects, and the risk of having an ectopic is apparantly rather high within the first 2 months after coming off them. Off course it depends on your bodies natural ability to recover after the pill, whether it takes longer or shorter. But yes, I think there is substantial evidence to support this theory. I had none of the risk factors for ectopics, and all the docs. I saw in the hospital after asked me if by chance, I just came off bcp's. When I saw my gynea. on Friday, he asked me again if I had reason for the ectopic, or if it was post-pill. We should actually look into this further, because I think the bcp manufacturors should start giving us all the facts in the leaflets, including this life threatening one.. , I am so sorry that the hag messed you around this month also. It seems that she is in a bad mood this time, since she has messed so many of us around. We should declare war!! Hang in there, though, we will all beat her eventually, and in the mean time, we can go through this together. We can form a group, called CTSAAF (courtney tara sonja against AF)LOL. Jo anne I actually read up on HCG levels on a gynea. site, and they said that the important thing is for your numbers to increase, not nessicarily double. So don't loose heart yet, your numbers have increased from the start, so it may all very well be perfectly fine. I will keep both you and baby in my thoughts and prayers, and I know this doesn't help much, but we are all here for you. (((((HUGS))))) On my side, I am now CD#4, and still determined to do everything in my power to win this battle.I have been taking my meds. and they help a bit, but not much, but I think as ? said the pains aren't the same as the ep. pains, more like streching twinges. I am aware of them the whole time, but they aren't nearly as painfull as the ep. pains, just like pins and needles.. Right now I am desperately trying to get hold of TCOYF, it is apparantly out of print here, so no one seems to have it.I can order it from overseas, but it will cost me a small fortune (which I don't have)The publishers are trying to get hold of a copy for me,I will phone them later to get the update. AF is rather mild at the moment, strangely since she hit me with a vengeance, but I am not complaining.I just want to get to O now, so we can start this cycle in earnest. anyways, good luck to all,and I am thinking of every one of you. take care sonja ------------------------------------------------------------------------ There's a place where women help each other get the most out of life! iVillage.com has expert advice about nutrition in our Never Say Diet center, a Freebies and Discounts center that has the net's best deals, and more! http://click./1/665/2/_/26068/_/948097945/ -- 20 megs of disk space in your group's Document Vault -- /docvault/ectopicpregnancy/?m=
