Guest guest
I am 6 weeks post-op from upper, lower and genio. I am still experiencing the same amount of burning from my very numb chin. Is this normal? I have always had a high tollerance for pain, but this is nothing like I have experienced. I went back to work after 4 weeks, but I am reading from posts that a large amount of you were back after two weeks. There was no way I could have worked two weeks later as I am still having a problem working at six weeks. I am wondering if my age (43) has anything to do with this. It is my understanding that my looks will change for up to six months. Is this right? I hope so, as if I stay the way I am right now, ugh.. My smile is horrible looking (looks very squinty) and my chin looks squared off (I guess I am not used to having a chin). I use to show all gum when I smiled and now, you can barely see my teeth. I am a little swollen still, but not that much. I would love to hear from anyone who has anything to say about their experience as I am getting a little nervous.
