Guest guest
Theresa, I'm pretty much in the same boat as Dawn. I eat between 4-5 times a day. Again, small amounts. I can finally eat carrots again and the baby ones are my choice for a snack these days. I am like Dawn in the breakfast area, I usually eat one or two hard boiled eggs. For dinner lately I've taken a hint from Kels, I bought a two pound bag of frozen shrimp ON SALE AT SHAWS FOR $12.88 this week, I take a few of them out and put them in the fridge at night, the next evening they are dinner. They are loaded with protein and no fat! I am a total shrimp lover, so I may head back and get another bag! Guest guest
Theresa, I eat about 5-6x per day, all mini sized things. This does not necessarily mean an entire meal, but good snacks, all high in protein if possible. I usually try and start my day with about 14 gr of protein, such as an egg w/cheese, a breakfast burrito (I buy Swanson type, not too high in calories, fat, or sodium). Mid morning, I have some cottage cheese, maybe a couple saltines. Lunch is usually something like soup, chili, or something else high in protein. Mid Day snack, either some soy nuts, a protein bar, or something like that. Dinner, whatever I chose to make (lately I'm addicted to Fish Chowda!), and lets not forget the water intake throughout the day....I seem so much busier these days concentrating on good eating choices, that I very rarely detect actual hunger any more, unless I forget to eat. Speaking of which, I have to go eat my breakfast! Hope this helps! Dawn hi I have to ask a question, how many meals are most of you eating a day? I realise the post yesterday said this is not for discussion, but i seriously am having a hard time eating. dr thayers office has said that i should eat 6 times a day and i am having a terrible time trying just to eat 3-4 times a day. i get hungry and then i eat, but, i really dont feel much like eating other than that (except for the few times I get munchies) also, alice, i was told anything with under 10-12 gs of sugar is ok..so you should be ok with your fat free yogurt, especially if it is sweetened with aspertame. i got the pre-op munchies majorly, i started missing the food before the surgery and ate a lot of really bad foods really quickly i gained a pound. i have to say, this weight is not just falling off of me, as a matter of fact, it seems like unless I am walking daily, i dont lose anything which kind of scares me. its ok though because even if i lose 1-2 lbs a wk i am losing something and within a year all the weight should be off...any responses to my firstquestion would be greatly appreciated! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Get a NextCard Visa, in 30 seconds! 1. Guest guest
I eat several times a day that I dont' really even count. I eat breakfast, lunch & dinner but I usually have 3 snacks in there too. Its not always a volume thing but rather every few hours I get the urge to nibble. For breakfast I usually have 1 scrambled egg sometimes with cheese and maybe 1/2 a piece of brown toast. I like soups for lunch or a salad and for dinner usually fish, chicken with a baked potato or veggies. Lyssa RE: hi Theresa, I'm pretty much in the same boat as Dawn. I eat between 4-5 times a day. IF YOU KNOCK OUT YOUR PROTIEN THE FIRST 3 MEALS THEN YOU CAN HAVE WHATEVER YOU WANT THE OTHER 3. HOWEVER....I HAVE MY PROTIEN SPREAD OUT IN THE DAY. I EAT ABOUT EVERY 2 HOURS..BUT I AM ALMOST 10 MONTHS OUT...AND I EAT CLEMENTINES (THANKS TO JO) OR CUCUMBERS OR 1/2 BANANA ON 3 OF THOSE SNACKS. HOPE THIS HELPS CALRA =0)

Guest guest
Not sure how to answer this one -- I don't usually have what you would call a "meal". I eat when I'm hungry, stop when I'm not hungry (this doesn't mean full, it means no longer hungry and re-energized) and then go back to it or have something else when I'm hungry again. It usually means I'm eating something about 6 times a day I guess because the amount I eat is usually very small. Guest guest
, I was just wondering.....aren't you going to be having your surgery soon? I was thinking that you said you were having your surgery in the summer? And I think Cammie was also. My memory is horrible. I probably have it all wrong, but I was just thinking about the folks with upcoming surgery dates. It's hard to believe mine was 5 months ago. Time sure does fly.... *Kim*
