Guest guest
See,the bad thing is that if you never go to the group site, but get all in email(I do the email thing)It doesn't matter if you delete the offensive message, because it automatically gets sent to our email. Maybe you can pick out 2 or 3 ladies from the group who can help you with approving members. With the group format, you can make someone a moderator, but only give them special priviledges, such as member approval, and then it won't all be on you, and no one will need to wait to be approved much more than maybe a half hour. just a thought. Guest guest
I have another idea.If you go to your moderator page, you can check the box that alerts you when a person joins or leaves the group. Then you can check the profile,or if need be,ban them from rejoining(like that last mpecenter person)
Guest guest
Jeana, I thought I got this out of the messages before anyone saw it. If you don't mind I am going to delete your post because it has the whole message below and I do not want to promote such a site. Hugs nne > unsubscribe > I dont appreciate getting emails like this. I am not a member of your group nor do I want to be. > conform > >
Guest guest
Liz, I hate to do even that. I know for myself if I was really upset and wanted to post in a group and saw I had to be " approved " first I would just go somewhere else. Thanks for your input its appreciated. Guest guest
I already get the messages when a person joins or leaves the group. The bad thing is a lot don't have any thing in their profile. I have been sending out welcome messages as I get the new member notcies. Guest guest
Having someone to help approve might be a good idea with most groups but with this one, I think that the time even though it might be short, might just be the time that would cause someone to say " forget it " . AND as all of us who are survivors know, sometimes we want help and information immediately. Waiting is hell when you are facing bc or any other kind of cancer. Just my thoughts on this and since the number of new members does not show up each day, you can not begin to imagine how many people do join...some for just a short time to get information and then they unsubscribe....we don't want to take a chance that these people don't get the help they might need. doris > See,the bad thing is that if you never go to the group site, but get all in > email(I do the email thing)It doesn't matter if you delete the offensive > message, because it automatically gets sent to our email.
