I ran out of money and my charge cards are too high so I going to St. s Legal Clinic tomorrow to see what they can do for me. It's a mess! I go to court on the 27th again. wants for me to go on welfare and he gets everything els. He is wearing me down, all I want to do is hide and sleep. Thirty one years, what a mistake I made! I had to do it 1 1/2 years ago, and I'm not completely over it yet. Anyway, don't give in. That's what your s2bx wants. I don't know what Oregon laws are, but you should get 1/2 of everything! Plus alimony! Do not let him wear you down under any circumstances. Rally your support system around you, dig your heels in, and Fight! Does he have a retirement fund? You get 1/2 if so. Do you own a house together? You get 1/2 if so. As you were married for so long, you are more than eligible for alimony. I even got it, temporarily, after only 7 years of marriage. Take care of yourself too. It's hard enough having PLS without that stress! I know! My health deteriorates quite a bit with stress. Be strong and keep the faith, Laurel Re: B. I now have a new lawyer through legal aid (ST. Legal Clinic), she is young but is nice and willing to fight for me. I don't know what will happen but I feel better having her as my lawyer. We go to court to ask for a hearing next Wednesday so keep praying. they are working. I feel better today than I have in a year! Stress is the killer. Fight like a badger for your half, honey! You deserve it after over 30 years of marriage. It's good to hear that you are feeling better. Stress is definitely a killer! My PLS symptoms have gotten some worse this last 1 1/2 years due to the stress of my divorce, no job, and the discrimination battle with the clinic where I worked until June. I have some real good days, so I do too much, then I have 3-4 " bad days " before I have another good one. Oh well, not gonna give up! Blessings to you, and do something " fun " for yourself. We will go to court next Wednesday to ask for a hearing and the judge will make the division of assets. It will be up to the judge to see who is telling the truth. Everyone at the clinic has been very kind and helpful. You were so right about me feeling better if I could remove some stress. I don't know what is going to happen but I haven't felt so good in a long time! Just think how I may feel if I can get all of this behind me! Thank you so much for your support! I am so glad to hear that your problems can be helped and is not the progression of PLS. You are so lucky to have a supportive husband and family and you are a wonderful person.
