I would love to know what we can do -- the audiologist said we haven't had to repair them often enough to get replacements yet, will need to dig further. ------- Our audie talked to Phonak yesterday about the switches on Sam's Novo-Fortes. Evidently, the switch on the aid that's now in the shop was repaired in September, 1999. We're not sure if indeed this is a switch problem so will wait and see. His other hearing aid has also had the switch repaired, the other hearing aid also went back to Phonak in December for problems with an amplifier, which was replaced. According to what Phonak told (our audie), the Novo-Fortes DO have faulty switches but repairing the switches should fix the problem - we'll see! If it turns out to be the switch again on the hearing aid that's in, I will fight them to replace the aid. So a question for you guys - do you know a way to get in touch with Phonak, either by phone or email? Their webpage wasn't helpful at all (no ways to contact them - I had hoped they maybe had said something about the switches on their page - but no). I wonder, Kay, if hearing aid customer service contacts would be something good for your webpage? Also, Phonak has offered to repair this aid for free (guess they can tell I'm not happy) and extend the warranty on them for a year. Kay - you had mentioned in the past the hearing aid manufacturer's warranty vs. Esco or Midwest. Do you know if the HA manufacturer covers loss also? Thanks guys! Customer service contacts can change quite frequently. >> do you know a way to get in touch with Phonak, either by phone or email? << Go to their website: http://www.phonak.com/ On the left had margin there is a green swirl. Click on that and another screen will open up where you can send mail. >> Kay - you had mentioned in the past the hearing aid manufacturer's warranty vs. Esco or Midwest. Each manufacturer may have a different policy so it's always best to check and see. Kay
