Guest guest
My son had high aluminum, too, on the only hair analysis we did, several months into DMSA/ALA chelation. I was giving him one Magnesium Malate at bedtime, so am guessing this had something to do with the aluminum coming out. I have since read somewhere (on this list?) that Dr. Holmes now recommends Magnesium Glycinate instead of Magnesium Malate as it is easier on the kid's body. I don't know if it is an aluminum chelator or not. We still give Magnesium Malate at bedtime, one pill each for each of my kids, who vary in weight between 55 lbs. and 140 lbs. (I do sometimes give just half a pill for the smallest child, though.) Lorilyn
Guest guest
We saw increased levels of aluminum in urine tests with both DMSA and DMPS but did use malic acid later to chelate aluminum better. We gave it in magnesium malate form continuously for just over a year twice a day on days when he wasn't using DMSA or DMPS. He was around 40 lbs when we started and took one 825mg tablet cut into two doses a day. Gaylen
