Hi I have basically been a lurker for the past few weeks as I have been fighting tooth and nail with my insurance company (Fallon) over this surgery. Everything was going fine until the very last minute when UMass and Fallon decided to have a parting of ways and I was stuck in the middle. Luckily, after obtaining an attorney (isn't that always the way), Fallon and UMass came around to may way of thinking. Guest guest Posted April 24, 2000 Report Share Posted April 24, 2000 . Yes I was at the December meeting at DHMC. It drives me crazy though. Not that I mind going but to require the meetings. I live 2 1/2 hrs away and find it a pain to travel that far for an hr meeting. I have completed the program so far and am just waiting for me next appt with Dr Burchard to schedule surgery. Guest guest Posted December 21, 2002 Report Share Posted December 21, 2002 Well after 3 weeks of not only gains, but large ones (3.8, 1.2, and 2.4) I finally saw a DoWNWARD move on the scale!! I lost .4 of a pound!! Doesn't sound like much, but it is so nice to be going in the other direction finally!! I think putting my scale away really helped. I did great until Thursday when all of my students brought me goodies and it was an eat fest all day at school! But, I still ate a lot less than I would have, and I have a loss as a reward!! BTW they had the new charm bracelets at my meeting and I bought one, $9! It is so cute, you just move the charm according to how many points you have eaten. Great anchoring tool!! I also tried the new cookie crunch 2 point bars and can I just say OH MY GOD!! They have chunks of oreos in them and they are so rich and so yummy!! I had to buy an extra box on my way out cause I know one box is not going to be enough this week!! For unto us this day a child is born.....
