Guest guest
Eileen, You give me hope! I'm having a hard time with the HC...waiting to add thyroid supplementation and iodine. Got to get a dropper for Lugol's which didn't come with one. I guess drug stores carry these? Anyway, what glandular are you taking? Thanks for sharing your good news. I'm happy for you! No impact on hair whatsoever- UNTIL I got on the cortisol, then miracles happened. I do have the miniaturized hairs, presumably from the low ferritin, which will grow fuller now that I am on the cortisol. I also noticed that I had no improvement in hypoT symptoms while on the armour alone. The cortisol was the clincher. Now my hair is not falling out and I have warm hands and feet for the first time in years. My adrenal output was so nothing that I started off my treatment with a 2 week round of prednisone. Now I am on HC and glandular. I stress dose with Isocort. We just sort of chip away at this thing and then all of a sudden we get somewhere. Guest guest
My hair falling out did improve once I started Armour and cortisol, iron for low ferritin, carnitine and biotin also due to low levels, but was still losing more than is normal. When I started the Iodoral, there was a drastic improvement, I lose very little now, only what would be considered normal. Guest guest
... Happy to give you hope. This hair loss thing about kicked my butt!! I've searched under every single rock for an answer. Last year I saw 7 doctors and spent countless dollars on this. Not one doctor picked up on much of anything. I look and act healthy and was not taken too seriously. Burning the midnight oil and checking in with a number of health groups helped more than anything. I kept thinking it was my thyroid and never knew about the world of adrenals. I had an easy as pie time with the prednisone. There is lots of bad rap on this drug, mainly long term, BUT I used it short term to get rid of the scalp inflammation- quickly. Are you drinking " adrenal water " . 1/2t celtic sea salt, 1/2t buffered C, rhodiola extract in 1 liter of water? Sip it all day. I did this long before I added the cortisol. I think it helped me. I'm also on estrogen with I think helps grow hair. I'm using the Future Formulations by Dr. . One a day at the moment. You say you are having a hard time with the HC. Did you ever try Isocort? I used this first and it might have helped me work up to the Cortef. Also, consider doing a topical aspirin treatment to your scalp before you shampoo. Crush 5 aspirin and dissolve in water. Poor over scalp with a squeeze bottle. It gets rid of inflammation very well and cuts the hair loss. Keep at it and you'll get it. If I can anyone can! Guest guest
Eileen, I'm doing the sea salt in water, but sporadically. I haven't been able to integrate it into my routine very well...just plain forget! My hair loss hasn't been awful, but I do notice that my part is getting wider and that concerns me of course. I cannot do the buffered C...but will look into the rhodiola...I do take Camu which has quite a bit of Vitamin C in it. It is the food with the highest content of C per its weight. So at least that is something. Plus I've ordered Dr. Schulze's Supergreens and I'm sure that will help with my Vit. C consumption. Thanks again! Atlanta Girl wrote: ... Happy to give you hope. Guest guest
No, seriously, . Go read what I wrote. Talk to the management. See if you can work something out with them.. We don't accept poor service from other business, our doctors, etc. Don't accept it from your compounding pharmacy. If you don't get satisfaction (yes, I know you may not), dispute the charge with your credit card company. That assumes it hasn't been too long since the charge - policies vary from company to company. Even if it is past the " standard " time, I would talk to the cc company's customer service about your circumstances. You will have to file the complaint in writing. Some cc companies do allow you to register the complaint online. You have nothing to lose & everything to gain by asking. You're already out the $144 if you say nothing. You just might get something if you make a stink. Squeaky wheel & all that... As I said, also check with your doctor. Can/does he use any other compounding pharmacies? Tell him you want to switch due to poor customer service at this one. Heck, tell the pharmacy when you discuss it with them that if they can't resolve your customer service issue, you will be asking your doctor to switch your business to another firm and will be recommending that he do the same for the rest of his patients. Maybe the thought of being out more than just the $144 will make them think twice. If you don't get anywhere with them (and if it's too late to dispute it with your cc company), ask you doctor if he'll intervene on your behalf to request that they resolve the customer service problem. There is no excuse for not providing product & storage information, especially for such an expensive product. Oh, remember that phrase " Never accept a no from someone who doesn't have the power to say yes " . You may have to work your way up to the owner of the pharmacy. Sometimes you can suprise yourself with the power of effective complaining. Persistance pays off. many, many years of customer service oriented background > > Ha ha ha! Credit for the cream! The jerks never ever sent me product info and the prices are a joke. 144.oo for 3 small tubes.

Guest guest
This is a pharmacy my doctor used when he has his allergy practice. The owners are personal friends of his. The pharmacist said she would send me info on the hormones. She had better. I will call back and complain if I do not receive it this week. But I have 6 tubes that are old. I just do not use that much but I would have made sure to use it and NOT order more. I will be smarter next order. I just won't order until all is used up. Heck, I don't even need a new prescription with them since they call my doc, their friend, when it runs out and he automatically renews it. I actually do not see much results whether I use it or not. I do notice the testosterone definitely makes me more aggressive in traffic! -- Re: Hair Loss No, seriously, . Go read what I wrote. Talk to the management.
See if you can work something out with them.. We don't accept poor service from other business, our doctors, etc. Don't accept it from your compounding pharmacy. Guest guest
- check with your acupuncturist about using the kidney meridian. The adrenals are just above the kidneys. I read that this meridian was used for adrenals for that reason. http://www.circadianacupuncture.com/CAT/indemeridians/kid.html " In the Chinese view, the kidney organ system also includes the adrenal glands, which consist of the adrenal medulla and the adrenal cortex. These glands sit like hats on top of the kidneys and secrete a wide range of essential hormones that regulate metabolism, excretion, immunity, sexual potency and fertility. " HTH, > Marti, I upped my dose from 2.5-2.5-2.5 to 5-2.5-2.5 and got a severe headache, dizziness, blurred vision, acid stomach and intense back pain. It was very sudden and pronounced. I backed down to the 2.5- 2.5-2.5 and have stayed there. The headache, dizziness and blurry vision are better. My stomach has calmed down to just afternoon and evening upset. The back pain I'm working on with chiropractic and acupuncture. There are no meridians for adrenals though so we're working on stomach and liver meridians. > > I'm thinking of trying the 5-2.5-2.5 again if I feel better within the next few days. This way I can test to see if it is indeed the HC. I also took a 1/2 grain of Armour today to see if it would help. > > I've always had problems with meds and supplements for one reason or another. I'm one of those super hyper sensitive annoying cases! LOL Have you tried taking anything for your acid reflux yet? > >

Guest guest
I have my own hair story. I never experienced the severe hair loss that some have had, but since the addition of Iodoral and Isocort, along with Armour, my eyebrows are growing! I had to trim 1 " long hairs at the peak of my eyebrows - one inch! One of the quirky things, I guess. C.

Guest guest
The weirdest thing for me is that only my left eyebrow grows these long haris! Marti wrote: I have my own hair story.
