Guest guest
... Good for you! I had considered going to see Dr. Levine myself, but Nora Coffey had highly recommended another doctor, Glassner, in Philadelphia that is considerably closer to me. (I am in land). Good luck in January! My myo with Dr. Glassner is scheduled on 12/11/01. I'm just counting the days at this point. Debi alikona@... wrote: > Yesterday I saw Dr. Levine in Arlington, MA. Guest guest
Debi i just wanted to say that everything will be fine and the myom will go well. Stay positive easier said than done but soon you'll be fibroid free and hopefully will be feeling brand new just in time for X-mas. Guest guest
I also am thinking of a hysterectomy for my fibroids. I heard if you get them removed they usually grow back with in a short time.Thats happened to 3 of my friends. I have allready had all my kids, and I have problem with bleeding but not heavy at all. If I don't have to hassel with it any more what the heck. I don't seam to have near the problems with mine as you all do. What is so wrong with a hysterectomy? If you know you dont want any more kids. Defenatly check it out of course, and I would like any feed back from you all. Thanks --- CountryBride@... wrote: > Barbara why would you have to have a hysterectomy > for a fibroid? Guest guest
, Here is why I will do everything to avoid a hysterectomy, even though I probably will not have any more children. Having a hysterectomy doesn't mean that you will never have any more problems in that area of your body. My mom has had 4 surgeries to reattach her bladder up higher so that she is not incontinent (2 regular and 2 laprasocopy). There is nothing to hold her bladder in place and it falls down onto her pelvis and she is partially incontinent. It never works for long. I am also not convinced there is no other reason for the uterus except for child bearing. If nothing else, it helps hold all the other organs in place. There are a number of books out there about avoiding hysterectomies that give you more information on potential complications in the future. These are just my feelings, you need to do what feels right to you. Robyn A. Re: Re: Doctor in Boston area - myo next I also am thinking of a hysterectomy for my fibroids.
