I added a couple more photos on the website. The most recent one is from back in Nov. To view them, click on the following link:

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/TexasTOPS/messages

*Then on the left side of webpage, select "photos".

*Next you will probably be prompted for your password.

*Then click on the folder above "Janet"

*When the thumbnail pictures come up, look above them, off to the right, and select "Slideshow".

Photo #1 is of me holding my niece back in 1985.

Photo #7 is of me holding my niece's baby in 2003.

also has a photo of her pretty smiling face posted.

Hello Janet,

Thank you for the compliments on our photos.

Just read 's message - today I feel the same as what he put in his "feelings" message.

I became a KOPS Nov. 13, 2003. Jan. 1, 2004 all the rules changed. Even though I lost 114 lbs from the time I joined TOPS July 17, 2001 until Nov. 2003 I was only credited with a loss of 76.5 lbs since 5 and 1/2 years early I joined a TOPS chapter in Illinois for 1 month. My husband joined Jan. 2002 and reached is goal by the end of April that year. He waited to graduate with me at SRD 2004. The day before we were to leave for SRD his employer fired several people leaving Larry as the only service rep and said so can go. Then, come to find out my registration paper got lost and therefore we were not registered to graduate and could still do so but we haven't gone anyfurther into checking it out at the moment.

I absolutely dislike the fact we changed the last line in the TOPS pledge - so I just still say it the old way (grin).

Thank you for asking.

Carolyn

>>CAROLYN W. WROTE>>>I posted my husband Larry's before and after and also my own.

Thanks, Carolyn. Now we have a face to put with your emails! You and your husband have made awesome transformations! Congratulations on your successes. Were y'all state royalty or division winners in anything like that? You must be such an inspiration to other members in your chapter.

Janet

I'm with you on this one, it makes it sound dumb if you ask me.

I won't go into a lengthy reply here (since I already spoke of my feelings in an earlier post quite a while back) but know that ya'll who are feeling... ??? ... displaced? like I am, along with disillusioned, it is natural and normal to feel this way. These are massive changes we are making in our lives to get to goal and we look to a solid foundation to hold onto to get us there - then somebody does something or says something or complains and then they need??? to change some rules, some lines, the Dr. at the head of the TOPS organization, etc. and that just doesn't work for me! That makes for a shaky foundation and I can have that without TOPS and the hassle of dealing with "certain people", meetings, weigh-ins, that gawdawful scale, etc., etc., etc..

I'm here to listen and to reply if anyone wants a TOPS pal one on one and I'm planning to stay on board with this group so ya'll feel free to write if you're inclined to. You won't find judgement from me but you will find a great listener and a loyal friend!

Hugs,
