Guest guest
Can fear of abandonment be considered a phobia? If so, then that would be mine ~ Hugs, Hamilton-Feeser wrote: Do you have any phobias? Guest guest
I'm with you Deanna! Did ya notice that I was always either in the back of the room or standing to the side at SRD? That's exactly why! That "closed-in" feeling and ya'll would have been carrying me out LOL (they actually did that at a grand opening at a Toys R Us one time! - lesson learned!) Guest guest
Do you have any phobias? uh, snakes....especially when they're on my front porch! We have swallows that have built nests on our house. There are baby birds in the nests and there is a very persistant, long ol' snake trying to get at 'em. I about had a cow when I saw it wrapped around the top of a wicker chair. I peak through the peep hole before opening the doors now, and even then I only open 'em a crack 'til I make sure no sneaky snakes are nearby. Night before last, my daughter opened the door to let my yorkie out and screamed at the top of her lungs.... the snake was slithering up the bricks towards one of the nests!!! We're talking up the wall, about 6 feet off the ground! I had no idea they could slither up walls!!! Now, I have to really look out before opening the doors! So, then we're both screaming, and my son once again heads for the linen closet to get a pillow case. Okay, hubby is in NJ for a conference and there is no way that I'm gonna let my son catch and relocate this snake! All the screaming must've excited the birds because one started flying in circles on the porch... the snake fell off the wall, so I screamed for my son to shut the door lest the snake come in my house. Well, he shut the door but not quick enough... the bird flew in. It took us about 15 minutes to coax it out another door (we sure couldn't leave the front door open because of the snake). My daughter and I were crouching down everytime the bird flew over our heads. At one point, it landed on her lower back while she was crouched over. At this point my son and I laughed so hard that I about pee'd myself! Only when hubby is away.... since we've moved here, we've had a herd of cows and a VERY large herd bull in our front yard (escaped from a neighboring ranch), three emus who refused to leave for a couple of days, and a wild boar and several piglets who rooted through my St. Augustine lawn. Hubby is always out of town when the excitement occurs. Went to Lowe's today and bought some 'Snake Away' to sprinkle around the house... it smells like moth balls. I'm with Levona regarding the escalators... I'm sure those things can eat your feet!! Especially if a shoe lace gets stuck in one.
