I say get the ME... that's what I'd do! You'll get used to it, all programs

have bugs at first, but I would LOVE something like that!!!!! Go for it!

Feeling guilty? Don't. Your just updating me, since I've been gone so

long. Yes, we could email privately, but the list is too quiet anyway right

now...*LOL* As temporary head honcho/interim ListOwner, I hereby give

permission for you NOT to feel guilty :o) Besides, if getting a new

computer will ensure you will NOT leave the list do to a computer crash,

thus NOT being here to post support and encouragment, it's definitely of

concern to us, thus being very ON topic... Don't you like how I can

rationalize things?? I love throwing my weight around... can't do anything

else with this darned stuff!

*Sigh*. I bought one from BestBuy and ended up returning it. I want to

order a Dell, but for some reason am procrastinating. One BIG questions I

don't know the answer to is whether to order it with Windows 98 or Windows

Me. Any thoughts people?

Well, because Windows Me Millenium Edition is microsofts new operating

system which is taking the place of Windows 98. SO should I go with the

new, supposedly more stable system meant for home users with better

multimedia features, a " go back to a previous date " ability in case you have

problems, etc. or go with the tried and true Windows 98, which my tech likes

better because he can fool with it more. But Me is supposed to be

friendlier to the user to fix..........why is nothing ever easy. And why do

I feel guilty for talking ot about this?

Oh, you are great. I missed you. And yes you are right this list is too

darn quiet, but by yesterday's standards it is positively lively. We are

having rain again in the northeast, surprise, surprise. and cloudy and cold

when it is not raining.

Hey you probably missed my announcement, I have a new addition to my

family,,,,his name is Jordan and he is a 8 month (guessing here) old tabby

male cat. He is tearing my house apart with his claws and his liveliness

but he is slowly working his way into my heart with his affection. He will

hardly let me work on the computer he is jealous. Well that is except when

he and Corky are chasing each other madly, wrestling, biting each others

legs, jumping over the top of each other, well you get the picture. He goes

to the Vet on Wednesday, he's had no shots and needs those before he can be

fixed. I am keeping my fingers crossed here that I get him fixed before he

starts spraying. Oh, and he loves water. He takes a shower with it from

his drinking bowl or from the toilet bowl if I forget to lower the lid.

Even tried to jump in the shower with me. Are you entertained yet?

My son---oh and did I mention that he is now a Certified Microsoft

Engineer????--says Windows Me is the way to go...you don't get those little

blue screens bugging you and he says it is much more stable.

Thanks Joya, I think I might purchase a Dell today with Windows Me. Thanks

for asking your son.

Well -- I've never purchased a Microsoft product and don't use any on my

home computers...but from what I have seen at work, 2000, 95 and NT are

all more stable than 98. I'm guessing Windows ME is too -- but I don't

have any personal experience with that OS.

I find it so odd that people live with those blue screens and weird

quirks. I'd go insane!
