Guest guest
Hi Shan, Lori here. Yes, I have had problems with swallowing and choking. They found out I had 4 ulcers in my esophagus and went and operated to get them out. When they went in they said I had this web-like thing that had grown from one side of my esophagus to the other for it was the body's defense in trying to keep my esophagus. They said once inside they also saw all the same symptoms of RSD. Swelling, red and blue color and constriction. A lot of constriction and u know that RSD causes constriction. They took out the web and now I can still only take little sips of liquids and tiny little bites. It does not hurt all of the time like my RSD on the outside But boy, when it does hurt, it is the worst. I amy dying to drink down a nice cold glass of milk or water. The doc said that the RSD can stay the way it is or it can keep on constricting until it closes up, and if ! that happens they they will have to reroute my esophagus. So of course, I am praying it does not spread in my esophagus. They said tho that they would of not diagnosed it with RSD if they had not actually seen inside. So in answer to your question, it is a definite yes that it can spread into organs. RSD constricts any organ, that is why a lot of RSDers have some heart problems, because the RSD is constricting the heart and making it harder for good blood flow. I hope you are able to find more answers, but in the meantime force yourself to eat little bites and small sips. It helps the esophagus from having to work harder. I don't know if this is from >the rsd or something else it also showed a muscle in my throat is >giving out. please if you have this problem please let me know thank >you. thank you Shana > Back on June third 2000, I made an entry into my journal about an episode I had the day before. I was having excruciating muscle spasms in my back and neck. These spasms also gave me alot of pain in my ears and eyes. Suddenly my throat tightened and got hot, then this 'vapor' (it seemed like) and heat went down my throat and I could feel it in my lungs. Since that time, my throat has never become untense, meaning it is constantly tense, but the intensity rises and lowers at it's will. It is difficult to swallow most days. I eat foods that have a bit of moisture to them, nothing dry. any similarities? -JAMIE- ________________________________________________________________________________\ _____ Get more from the Web. Guest guest
Shana, I have the same problem though nothing in my lungs. I find it so strange to have a hard time swallowing soup. I think m mine is because I am so dry that the dryness goes down my throat. Even drinking liquids does not get rid of the dryness sometimes.
