Guest guest
Beth, When you have had a history of yeast infections, and have to go on antibiotics, taking probiotics and yogurt will help. Just remember to separate the doses by a few hours. For instance, if you take your antibiotic at 7 AM, take your Probiotic at 9-10 AM. Continue for the duration of the antibiotics + an additional 30 days or more. Also, cut out as much sugar from your diet as you can. This includes natural sugar found in regular milk and fruits. Also restrict or eliminate refined flour products and anything that has yeast in it for the duration of the antibiotics. You can start up with that again, slowly, after the antibiotics have been completed. And make sure you do complete the whole series of antibiotics, so you don't develop a resistant infection. Hope this helps. Anne M., RN ImmuneBalance@... http://home.earthlink.net/~mcfighter/
Guest guest
Hi Beth, Try Macrobid. It is an antiobiotic used for UTIs and it doesn't cause yeast. Feel better, Sandi
