Guest guest
Hi Kristi, Thanks for the concern. They took out 7 fibroids. The largest was about 8cm. They were also very heavy. They were intramural (in the wall of the uterus) and were mostly located at the back of the uterus. I had quite a lot of incisions done to the uterus. The surgeon actually told me that because of scarring it will be a bit difficult to conceive. She was very happy when I went to see her to tell her the news. So, it is not all bad news. But they always reckon to wait until you are ready to have a baby before having a myo because of regrowth as they will grow even faster with the pregnance. Good luck to you. Beri. I am hoping that it's the ONLY one I have... they are never sure until they go " in " . So I am hoping even if I have more, I can still go on to get pregnant. Did they remove any fibroids when they did the myo? Where were your fibroids located? I am hoping I can go on to get pregnant even if I have some scarring and other smaller fibroids! Guest guest
Beri: God bless you and this child. I'm glad to hear all is well. You provide some inspiration for many of us hoping to travel down this road. I'm seeing my 3rd specialist on Monday. I hope and pray to schedule my myomectomy then. Good luck to you, do keep us posted. Donna > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi Mar. Guest guest
Hi , I am 33 weeks and 3 days today. Yes, the fibroids have grown quite a lot in the last 29 weeks. So much so that I am a c-section at 37 and a half weeks. One of them grew from 64mm to about 7cm. I haven't really noticed any hardening. Although, the midwife can't tell the difference between the fibroids and the baby's head!!, so it must be hard. Love Beri. Tahoegirl73@... wrote: Beri, Your story is inspiring. How far along are you?
