Guest guest
Hi - I'll be going off my cytomel next Monday 11/26. I was wondering if you would send me the commercial products list. We had talked about it before but I didn't need it yet. Thanks Near Albany NY tt: 7/27/01; pap w/foll variant; RAI mid Dec. ----Original Message Follows---- From: katiekabob@... I have been assembling a list of commercial products which are acceptable on the LID; I tried to send it to you privately, but it was returned. If you send me another address, I will be happy to try sending it again. (Of course, I'll be happy to send the list anyone else who wants it - just ask!) But, to answer your questions, egg whites are fine, since the iodine is almost totally concentrated in the yolk. Milk and butter/margarine, are the biggest deprivations for many of us, especially since there are no passable substitutes. Every margarine I have seen has salt and/or soy, and Crisco also has soy. There are lots of " bread spreads " that can be used instead - flavored oil, mustard, guacamole, humus, honey ... just about anything that's spreadable will do the trick. Some easy snacks - popcorn (home made, or salt free), SF pretzels, potato chips (check for soy oil). Rice cakes. Corn chips with home made guacamole or salsa. Most flavors of Jell-O are acceptable, including the ready made ones in plastic cups; most sorbets are acceptable, too. Good luck with the diet, and feel free to ask for more suggestions. - NYC (TT 2/99 dx pap/foll; RAI 100 mCi 3/99 & 4/00; current TSH ~.06 on .225 levothyroxine) katiekabob@... cathysoupaz@... wrote: > Hi Everyone, > I had a TT 4 weeks ago yesterday.
