Does anyone know what they give to these kids to try to alter metallothionein

protein? Cause I am really curious. You can watch a video of this segment

from this site if your computer will allow it. kelly

WILLIAM WALSH: We give them nutrients that stimulate the production of that

protein. We're trying to get the metallothionein protein that's disordered

working again. And if that happens, then the toxics that they've accumulated

will naturally leave. They will be protected in the future from the

environment with the toxics because it will be working, and their brain

levels of copper and zinc and these other important meta will normalize.

Walsh is a scheduled speaker at the DAN conference in San Diego in

October. He will be speaking on " Disordered Metal Metabolism in Autism Spectrum

Disorder " . Perhaps at that conference he will elaborate and hopefully

highlights of his presentation can be obtained through the Autism Research

Institute.

I'd like to know about this too. I'm also interested in anyone that has been to

the Pffeifer Institute where this DR works.

My son has been with Pffeifer almost 10 month now. Actually Pfeiffer is the

first place we started my son's treatment. Only 20 minutes driving from my

home. I didn't bring my boy's program with me here. I will post his vitamin

compounding program later. If you go to visit Pfeiffer, you will not see Dr

Walsh, actually Dr. Usman is the one who sees all our kids now. I just came

back from her office to disccuss how to futher chelate my son. She is very

nice doctor and very knowledgeable.

Thanks Ping. Are you seeing benefits from the program they are using? And -

does this differ alot from what Amy is doing?

Jan. 4th this year we went Pfeiffer for the initial appointment. I did all

urine, blood and food allergic panel, stool and hair test. I had posted

his second hair test before. His first hair test showed some mercury. Blood

test showed his zinc, copper was elevated. He had gluten, casein food

allergic for sure, but compare to other ASD kids, his food allergic chart

was good enough. His stool told us he had very high candida. It took about

one month to get all the test results back. So early Feb, his vitamine

compounding program was started. Here is the detail:

Morning: Vitamin C 210mg

Pyridoxine(B6) 200mg

Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate 10mg

DMG 125mg

Pro5 1 capsule

Dinner: Victamin C 260mg

Zinc(Picolinate) 28mg

Cal/Mag 200mg

Vitamin A (Kirkman's) 2500IU

Por5 1 capsule

Vitamin E 200IU

Bedtime: Inositol 500mg

Plus add Nystatin to control the yeast. 300000IU three times a

day.

We had on this compunding about 1.5 month, March 18th, Because my boy was

very allergic, runing nose and rash and very irritatable skin, I went to

Pfeiffer again. This time, Dr. Usman changed his program and also added Dr.

Megson's Vitamin A which is cod liver oil protocol. The updated

program listed below:

Beakfast Nutrient Dosage

Vitamin C 210 mg

Pyridoxine(B6) 200 mg

P5P 40 mg

TMG 175 mg

Methionine 200 mg

AbsorbAid II 60 mg

Colstrum Gold 1/2 teaspoon

Cal/Mag 200/200 mg

Dinner Nutrient Dosage Unit

Colstrum Gold 1/2 teaspoon

Vitamin C 260 mg

Zinc 50 mg

Vitamin A (CLO)3000 mg

Methionine 200 mg

Taurine 200 mg

Glutamine 100 mg

Vitamin E 200 mg

Max EPA 500 mg

AbsorbAid 60 mg

Cal/Mag 200/200 mg

Bedtime Nutrient Dosage Unit

Inosital 500 mg

Note

Bioclear Cleansing Program for 3 month

Take Nystatin, 300,000 units, 3 times a day, for 3 months.

From the first day I started to treat my son, he is always improving. But

just gradually and very slow. I gained a lot of his eye contact within the

first two month. We acutually added about one month bethenicol and I didn't

see too much change and then stopped. I never have a break through. I

really pray to have ice-melting situation. May 12th, I got cilantro

extract and started to give him. May 29th, I redo all blood, urine, hair

and vaccine titer blood work again. His mercury was brust out in his hair

and zinc/copper ratio was much improved. His liver and kidney looked good.

His titer showed border line of rubella(he got 111 and referece for

immunized kid should be 5-10) and diphtheria (he got 1.16 and reference

is >=0.1) which matched the five shots I got 3 month before my pregancy (

I got 2 MMR and 3 DT). I don't know how to low down his rubella and

diphtheria titer. Rubella virus has been proved as one major reason to

cause autism. How some people say the autism is not related to vaccines?

From June 9th, I started a homeopathy protocol, but still put him on

Pfeiffer's evening compounding because it contains zinc. He looks much

stronger than before. Less allergic. I don't know. I want to see what will

happen in winter. I am thinking of DMSA and ALA protocol now. Pfeiffer

doesn't have much experience on chelation. But good vitamin program is also

part of chelation. When I discuss with Dr. Usman about the DMSA protocol,

she really would like to listen to my decision. There are too many

different ways to do the chelation. She just wants me feel comfortable.

She is a very open minded doctor. She will help me monitor my son's body

situation. I will do his hair analysis and stool test today. Once the

result comes, I will let you know.

I am more looking at my son's behavior change. He banded his head after he

got his MMR shot when he was 16 month old. Now those behavior has gone

forever. He starts to aware my face expression. He also tries so hard to

imitate some of my words. His receptive language is for sure improving.

Is this posting detail enough? Let me know.

In God's Loving,

Ping

Thanks so much for your input. My son has Aspergers Syndrome - and the only

problems I have with him are basically behavioral and sensory (but not very

much). This is why I was thinking that Pffeifer Institute may be the way to go

with him! Thanks for your info and please keep me posted on how things

progress. Best of luck to yours.

Ping- thank you for sharing you info on your child. My husband and I have

been considering the center in Naperville for sometime now for our 4 year old

twins. We're doing a lot on our own right now and with a new doctor's help

will be starting chelation possibly next weekend. We've already had tons

of tests done on them through Great Plains, Great Smokies and Dr. Data. Do

you think the Pfieffer Center would use any of those results or would we need

all new ones through their facility? I'm also curious as to how old your

child is. Thanks, again. It's such a help to see what others are doing and

finding help with. I will add this note about my son...we're on several

different diets- Feingold, GFCF, yeast free, etc. Also on supplements and do

lots of therapy. Everything has like you said, melted the ice but we've

recently seen unbelievable gains in a very short amount of time (a couple

weeks) when we added enzymes to his daily intake. Over the summer he went

from using mainly PECS to communicate to 7-9 word sentences. For our

particular situation, it was the ice breaker. Donna, Kingwood, TX
