Guest guest
Although I generally agree with the paper on autoimmunity, I disagree with the statement that the cause of autoimmunity is not known. The causes of autoimmunity of an individual can be tested by a test like MELISA ( www.melisa.org ) and other tests/methods. The medical lab MELISA web site has numerous papers on haptens and antibodies and testing for them and what has generally been found in that regard. Toxic metals are common causes of autoimmunity (and haptens, etc.) but there are also other things that can induce autoimmunity as well- including Rx drugs.   There are a lot of good tests these days to determine the cause of problems, but many doctors aren't familiar with their use. The MELISA test is one of the better tests for determining the cause of autoimmunity but there are also others. Likewise there are good tests to determine the metabolic blockages and causes of such, like the fractionated porphyrin test. Likewise good tests like the comprehensive liver detox test and Organic Acid test to determine metabolic blockages and detox system problems. I also think computer based tests like SCIO and ElectroDermalScreening are very cost effective and useful. Bernie
