Me too.

I am looking forward to hanging out.

I was going to try and diet before going, but that plan seems to have

disappeared into thin air as I am happily munching on a bag of chips as I

type this LOL

Grace: I will definetely, definetely be there. I

have the plane tickets and the hotel check and

registration all taken care of and paid for. I am

soooo there. I cannot wait. I really really hope

Jacquie can make it. I will even buy her dinner one

night so she doesn't have to bring as much for meals.

So we just need to make sure of her. I don't know if

I am worth $1000 to meet, but you also get to go to

the conference...LOL.

I missed you....keep posting.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

oh, i'm sorry, you were being serious ;)

tamara, sweetie, we are talking about PENNSYLVANIA in APRIL. there will be NO

swimming, unless you are a polar bear or they have an indoor pool. neither of

which i think is true. you can reasonably expect the daytime temps to be in the

50-60's and the nighttime temps to be in the 30-40's. hope that helps :)

note to grace- BRING A SWEATER!!!

AMEN, Tamara.

:o)

Shaun asked if I was going to shop for this trip. My answer: " NOPE. "

I figure, whatever I buy will be too tight by the time I come home.

***Well when we went to TExas, we always beat what the internet said.

But through OK and MO there were a lot of 70 MPH speed limits, and

the net seemed to estimate it at 60 the whole way. So you might just

beat it !

***Ok! Well I'm glad you'll have a cell phone with you. Really a

woman traveling alone (in another country) should have one! :) Have

fun!!

(ever heard of Sauble Speedway, Lori?)

No, Jacquie. I have not. But I tell you it must be the Canadian Blood. I drove

test runs for drivers at Merritton Speedway. And at Ransomville. I love driving

and I would race all over again if I had the chance.

I THINK that this will not happen. Most of those anxiety attacks throughout

history have happened when I'm about to enter a group of people who I don't

know. It's happened when I was due to start a new job at a big restaurant

(3 times), go to a meeting of something or other...

But last winter I joined a mom's craft night at the library, and after

driving around theblock for half an hour I WENT IN! And it wasn't SO bad.

I quit going not out of anxiety but because the room had no air conditioning

during the summer and I couldn't paint in the humidity because the paint

wouldn't dry.

I THINK I will have no problem with this for a few reasons. One is that I

do kind of know you and Tamara, and I have made promises to you. I don't

like to break promises. Another is that after driving 7 hours to get there,

I don't think I will be physically capable of turning around and driving

home. Another is that my miserly ways will not allow me to waste the

registration money and the travel money that way. And if I did chicken out,

I could never live with myself.

Make no mistake -- this will be HARD for me. Especially because the two of

you will meet hours before I arrive. But the hardest part is the going in.

After that, I will be FINE.

I do suggest that if one of the rooms looks out over the parking lot you

start looking out the windows around 6pm or so -- if you see a fat chick

with shoulder-length reddish hair getting in and out of a white Nissan

Axxess pretending to look for something for an hour, that will be me. Come

and get me. :-)

I stopped going there about 16 years ago. I don't know if you remember the

accident there. A little girl Tammi Hat was killed by her own fathers car. The

front tire blow and flow into the crowd and hit her. Will I did the test driving

for him and his dad. The was the worst night of my life. I tried going back last

summer but I could not stay.

I'm sorry. That must have been a horrible experience for you. We sold our

house over a year ago and bought something much smaller. It really is

easier.
