The O.D. who's been with me since MS diagnosis, and who helped me with Dr. Klinghardt's protocol, suggested melatonin to be used with the DMSA. The Bioterrain Measurement test (from saliva and urine) I did through Klinghardt in late July indicated a detox diet that nixes dairy but includes sprouted wheat, eggs, and meat--again, one size doesn't fit all. I'm waiting for results from a recent one but think it'll be the same as I'm still toxic. Martha
Guest guest
I have a number of friends to love to eat shellfish, the cockroaches of the ocean, and I wonder what amount of heavy metal toxicity they might be getting from it? Guest guest
A couple months ago I posted a question on Andy Cutler's group (frequent dose chelation) to ask about success stories/rates of the Cutler protocol for chelating heavy metal. One of the members compiled a list of success stories. I think this page should take you to that link. The success stories are at the bottom of the link. In addition to that link, one other person wrote back from the Cutler group also telling a very positive story about her use of Cutler's protocol. (I have no personal experience with this protocol, I am just looking for a safe, effective chelation protocol). Although we are very natural in this group, a part of me thinks it may take somthing unnatural (like DMSA) to get rid of another unnatural thing (that is, high levels of heavy metals in the body) Anyway, here is the link: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/frequent-dose- chelation/message/20036 > > ...Andy Cutler's protocol uses ALA with the DMSA or DMPS. Guest guest
I guess this post is to everyone. I have over thirty five fillings in my teeth. How do you go about getting them removed? Does insurance cover it? (wishful thinking) And then what kind of fillings do you ask for? I have very soft teeth and get a couple fillings a year. I also get some of the old ones fixed because they fall out. Many of them are old. I did talk to my dentist about this when I was newly diagnosed a few months ago and of course he blew me off. I'd appreciate any info from you guys. I love reading the posts and plan on joining in when I'm finished with finals. Peace, Ginger Ambitionn01@... wrote: I have had my 13 mercury-toxic, fillings removed. I did not get them removed correctly, and I felt much worse afterwards. But, then again, I started taking buffered Vitamin C, and it really took that bad feeling away quickly. I also was on a slew of supplements then and now, which allow me to live as normals. I do not regret it, and would do it again. I was drowning in mercury with all those fillings out-gassing. Anyhow, I am really writing to let you know that after much research and fear of harming my children, I did not start chelating until I found modified citrus pectin. Well I did use EDTA and glutathione before, but it caused too many side effects for me. I have been taking modified citrus pectin (Pectasol) a few weeks now, and I have been noticing improvement, but note that this has to be taken for many months, just like formal chelation techniques because its a slow process. Anyhow, I totally, at this point, am recommending it. It supposedly has no side effects, being made from citrus pulp. I give it to all in my family. I have extreme difficulty eliminating toxins, so I started out with just one pill every other day. After a week, I am able to do one pill everyday. I am starting with one pill twice a day tomorrow. The very first day on it, everyone felt depressed, but it starts to subside right away. Mercury-moving is just plain difficult. We also got an increase in yeast as one gets with mercury chelation, so take a yeast inhibitor. Guest guest
Hi Ginger, welcome to the group. You should only have 32 teeth. The first step is to find a biologic dentist. It is expensive, I couldn't afford it and I had my teeth pulled and bridges made because I didn't want the mercury particles, made from drilling, to be released into my mouth or to breathe in the dust. I'm toxic enough as it is. At least the amalgam source of mercury is gone. I got partials that have no metal (ValPlast). I had cavities that I was unaware of under the old fillings (some were close to 25 years) and I didn't want to go through with putting new composites on sick teeth. Here is a link to the Hal Huggins protocol. He is responsible for identifying the link between autoimmune diseases and mercury toxicity. If you can, read " It's all in your Head " by Hal Huggins. I'm not sure about your insurance covering this, some policies won't. (moderator) The Huggins Protocol These are the most important procedures to follow. Find a dentist who follows it as closely as possible: Rubber dam, high-powered vacuum, continuous water, oxygen nose tubes, air filters, ionizers, amalgam cut into four pieces (not drilled out), face cloth, IV conscious sedation for those who want it, vitamin C IV drip, measure amperage and polarity of amalgams and remove in order of the least path of resistance per quadrant (highest negative, lowest negative, highest positive, lowest positive), follow biocompatibility charts if supplied. --------------------------------- Never miss a thing. Guest guest
I actually have more than one filling in a few of my teeth if you can believe it. I blame my Irish genes (soft teeth) Pugh wrote: Hi Ginger, welcome to the group. You should only have 32 teeth. The first step is to find a biologic dentist.
