We have a HORRIBLE time with this also. looses her balance when she

tips her head back. The only time she'll do this is when she has her red cup

(no sippy) with only a little water left so she has to. So I give it to her

and then rinse as best I can. When that doesn't work I turn on the shower

and hold a towel folded up in front of her face. She HATES the water to be

in her face but I can't get her to tip her head and she gets very upset if I

try to make her lie down on her back even if I'm holding her. I have on

occasion climbed in the tub with her and she felt more secure leaning back

with me there. I just love her hair and can't cut it.

Hope something in here helps wendy g

,

I heard at a conference that the reason our kids look down so much, whether

walking or in the tub has to do with poorly developed neck muscles!

fits this so well! Luckily both boys no longer have a problem with us

dumping large cupfulls of water on their head to rinse them off in the tub.

I did actually end up getting in the tub with him. Good tip, that.

After we had finished I remembered the method we had worked out. It is a

two-person job and involves a very small shower stall with a door that can

be held closed, and a detachable shower head.

I wish I could wash his hair while he was asleep...I cut his hair and nails

while he is asleep...

Thanks!
