I haven't tried zanaflex, but am taking Robaxin at the moment..makes me

hyper??? wild for me.

I was up until four this morning. some of it is from being in the middle of

changing meds, but I've been a night crawler ever since I can remember. Even

when I worked for a living..I just made it on four to five hours sleep a

night, and slept all day on Saturdays. I " ve tried all the valerian and

melatonin makes me hyper, and most of the other things too...but not mixing

several together..food for thought.

I forgot...can't take Paxil..gives me more of what I have too much of

already...that's why we went to the old meds to get off, and try the

Neurontin...I must have an odd chemical makeup or something. Seems to always

be a challenge for my docs and me.

no problem popping in there Loraine...I'm getting more good input on my meds

and other meds and reactions and actions than I can ever get from my

doctors. My psychiatrist is looking at me in confused wonder...trying to

decide if " I'm for real " or just yanking his chain on the meds.. sometimes

he says, " I " ve never had that happen with this! " funny, but not really

helpful to me.

I have been on muscle relaxants and have had serious problems with them. I

feel ok but then my joints start going apart due to the muscles being so lax

and I end up being exhausted but in too much pain. The worst episode ever

was after surgery when they administered a muscle relaxant instead of giving

me more morphine. Big mistake. My areas that are a problem are my back and

neck so when your neck starts flopping it's like you would rather have them

chop it off than deal with the pain. I am serious too, if I had of had a gun

it would not have been pretty. I wonder why some people have had good luck

with muscle relaxants and others not?

<snip>

The only thing that keeps my body more or less upright is my muscles. If

they gave me muscle relaxants I would collapse in a heap. So not

suitable for all EDSers.
