WED WI - Beginning Week 11

Hi all,

Did the deal this morning, after three days of dealing with the

'creeping crud.' I thought I would die at the piano last night.

Imagine feeling like you've been " rode hard and put up wet " and

having to don a tuxedo and watch people eating haute

cuisine....and *playing* pretty for them, too! Ugh...<g>

I confess, however, to a sense of joy this fine morning, as I

record another 3.5 lb has hit the trash! I've now lost 21 lb in

ten weeks -- sensible and reasonable loss, yes? -- and feel

great! I haven't felt 'deprived,' not one little bit, since

beginning this journey, and that may be one of the biggest

plusses of the program, IMO.

I moved from the 240's to the 230's, which is a victory in

itself. I recalled this morning being in the hospital in a coma,

back around Christmas of '99. I had quite a battle not to die

then, but a few months later I got on a scale and realized I'd

dropped nearly 50 lb. I remember clearly that, on that day, I was

242. I know it was the lowest I'd been for at least 4-5 years

previous.

That means that, at 238, I'm now lower than I've been in nearly 9

years!! And *that,* to me, is really amazing!

Thanks once again to all our list members, who are here for each

other (and for me) day by day. I am firmly convinced that if we

stay the course, we get the goodies. This thing works -- it

really does!
