If you really like looking at light, this is a fancier version of the

spectroscope:

It also costs more. Downside is that it doesn't readily fit into a

large pocket. Sometimes I take the spectroscope (the device used in

the previous post) out and all of my geeky friends and I can go out

and tell the difference between mercury and sodium street lights.
