Hello all...

Just reading everyone's posts and trying to be *good*.

I just read Ozmee's post to Dawn and loved that line we are never *bad* just not

on plan!! Makes me smile, that Ozmee, says it the way it is!!

I didn't get to weigh in last week so don't know where I'm at with my Halloween

challenge but am looking forward to Wednesday!! I am *very* hungry right now but

I tell myself this is ok to " feel " hunger, it is allowing my stomach to shrink,

it is allowing me to loose the unwanted weight. I weighed at work this morning

and it said 147 with shoes and all on, and that scale weighs abit high so am

keeping my fingers crossed for a good loss this week.

Say Ozmee, if your reading.....I was sure surprised that for maintenance you

only add on 4 points....so does that mean when we are at 18-23, which I am...I

can eat 27 points once I'm at maintenance? I suppose one would have to play

with that abit and see how it goes or what....depending on activity levels and

all......??

dawn........................

Dawn, losing one pound is nothing to sneer at, many times I wish I would

have seen one pound instead of a point this or that. But at your size you

should be losing more than one pound a week. Of course I know some ladies

at the old meeting group who were totally happy just losing one pound per

week. I never was. I wanted 2-3lbs per week gone which probably relates to

the 'hurry up and lose' syndrome, lol that we all have. But what is bad?

You are not being bad if you eat within your points or your banked points.

If you go above your points and why would you? then you are not bad you are

just off program. It is not bad to eat ;) Toss that word right out of your

vocab when it comes to you and food :) We have lapses and failures but we

are not bad, hehehe

When I first started WW I think I got 25-29 points a day. Now I get 18-23.

That is a big difference. Do you know what this difference means to me? I

don't eat as many snacks. I remember eating some regular Oreo cookies,

seems like they were 2 points apiece, or maybe not Oreo's but one of those

soft cookies. I indulged in those about a month after I started, after

figuring up how much they were. I only had 3 of them for a total of 6

points, one would have done as I really just wanted the taste and the

'feeling' of being able to have it. But 6 points then did not hurt like it

would now. Eating the way we did then, that many points was more than

enough for us, yet I see some people say that they were 'bad' which to me

means they ate over their allotted points range and their points range is

very high. I think if people do that, it means they have not changed their

eating habits, I know I could be wrong about that? But that's what I see

from out here. Although WW says you can eat whatever you want and sure you

can, without some alteration of your daily diet you are going to have a hard

time when you get into the lower points range. At that point you will

either have to exercise vigorously every single day to get more points or

just learn how to eat healthier. I am not an energetic person, I'm not lazy

but just not athletic so the vigorous activity is out for me :-) I knew that

from the beginning and recognized that I had no choice but to learn to eat

healthier. To me, that means more food at less points. Without this

alteration in your eating habits it will get harder and harder to stay full

as your points range goes down.
