Guest guest
My older daughter is supposed to receive her 5 yr old boosters. She is completely normal, but my younger daugther has developmental delays (I'm RH -) and we've been treating her with the GFCF diet and supplements (and have had great success!). What should I do about the boosters (MMR, DTaP, and polio)? Should I get titers pulled for all these - is it possible? And if her titers come back ok, is it safe not to give her the boosters? thanks for the advice!!!!
Guest guest
PULL TITERS AND DO NOT VACCINATE. Even if she does not have titers only means that her immune system is down to a degree- what makes anyone think that the vaccine would take a second or third time. And does the doctor really know for sure if the other countless number of children have titers- the number probably is high for those that do not. Neither of my children have titers to polio. does not to mumps. [ ] 5 yr old boosters My older daughter is supposed to receive her 5 yr old boosters. Guest guest
Yes if the titers come back fine, there is not need to give any boosters at all. You can get something from the Dr office stating the titers are fine and boosters are not needed. And if you do not feel comfortable ,as most of us do not giving immunizations you can probably sign a waiver at the school to not immunize you little girl. We have that available to us in California. The schools don't give you that information but if you request the waiver they cannot deny you that right in California and some other states, Leah -- In @y..., dks0564@y... wrote: > My older daughter is supposed to receive her 5 yr old boosters. Guest guest
I was in a similar situation when my younger son started kindergarten. He needed the diet as much as his autistic brother, but was just fine on diet. I figured I couldn't convince our pediatrician to order an immune panel on him (which was what Dr. Fudenberg had suggested many years earlier...check immune function before vaccinating a sibling) so we had the titers run. He was fully immune to everything tested except pertussis (not a problem, according to immunologist Jane El-Dahr, for children older than 2) and mumps (a possible problem, but I will deal with it post-chelation.) We had to get a waiver for the Hep shots, which I did not run titers for, but never vaccinated for, either. Our school will hold out our son if there is an epidemic of anything to which he is not immune. This I expected, but they also might hold him out if there is an epidemic of anything to which he is immune but for which he is not vaccinated...this baffles me, but is still preferable to his developing mental illness from a vaccination.
