Hi Lynn,

I am glad that your Mom's bad hallucinations and nightmares have been

stabilized. A little happy hallucination with an imaginary friend is not a bad

thing. I always found it difficult knowing that Mom was looking at me and

hearing other words coming out of my mouth and seeing someone else and not me

when she was looking right at me....but that person she saw and the words she

heard were not good, and she was fearful. So, I am glad that your Mom's current

hallucinations are nice people and speak the same language.

God bless all those who suffer from this disease.

done this since 2003. Whenever we try to come off of it she gets anxious, and

starts to hallucinate. She also had a really bad reaction to Aricept. I was just

wondering if any one else has any similar experiences?

I know different meds work differently on each person. All i know is that they

put my Mom on 5mg Zyprexa in 2003 when she first hallucinated. Every time we

tried to come off they would start. This last time the rehab took her off...she

came home....fell following something....ended up back in rehab and back on

Zyprexa......after few weeks she is back to " her " normal. I will never take her

off Zyprexa. she misses one dose and its not a good thing. So I hope this helps.

I Know it may not work for everyone but it works 4 her.

Judy.....Daughter of Helen 75 w LBD.
