Guest guest
Hey Marcy, Based on other mine and other kid's results: Consider a complete thyroid panel. High hair iodine can be one indication of hypothyroid or the beginning of it. Consider evaluation of Zinc status (probably intracellular elements). According to Dr.McGinnis, high hair Zinc yields a 95% chance of low intracellular zinc and impaired zinc transport. Before any measles vac, consider blood test for vit.A status and I would NEVER recommend MMR, only separate shots, if any. Guest guest
Hi Marcy, My very uneducated opinion is that I would do mercury detox IF she fails the counting rules. (I didn't check but recommend checking.) If she fails the counting rules, I would do the mercury detox routine. (How old is she now? I'm not recommending using DMSA or ALA with an infant..... I'm also not saying it is bad to do so. I don't know.) If she is not merc toxic according to the counting rules, then I'd treat the other metals. Regardless of anything else you do, I would do another hair test on her once in a while. best, Moria At 10:46 AM 7/30/2001 -0400, you wrote: >Would some of you very knowledgeable and generous individuals help me >prevent my daughter from going down the same developmental path as my son? > I had a hair test done at 5 months because she has bad cradle cap, eczema, >and digestion problems (reflux). >I will only report items that are out of range from Great Smokies. >She received 1 HepB vaccine (w/o thimeresol) on day 2 of life. Guest guest
She is 6 months old tomorrow. I'm particularly worried about the copper/zinc issue, as I heard at the DAN conference that there is correlation between that and developmental delays. Also, the NA/K ratio is way off. My boss (a pharmacist) said to definitely check that. > >Would some of you very knowledgeable and generous individuals help me > >prevent my daughter from going down the same developmental path as my son? > > I had a hair test done at 5 months because she has bad cradle cap, eczema, > >and digestion problems (reflux). > >I will only report items that are out of range from Great Smokies. > >She received 1 HepB vaccine (w/o thimeresol) on day 2 of life. Guest guest
It is hard to do this off the numbers alone - are you saying that if you draw a line right down the middle of the little charts - right on " average, " that only 4 are below that line and the rest are above it? Guest guest
We use only epsom salts for my son, baby shampoo and liquid baby soap (We have a separate shower). I am using some cortisone topically on occassion for the terrible itch from the cradle cap. I have NO IDEA where barium comes from, and my son also had toxic amounts in his hair test. Anyone know? > > > > >Barium 9.96 (ref. 0.00 to 3.00) > > > > >Marcy , I would be careful of what things you use > in the bathtub, if you are using shaving creams or shaving powders > make sure you rinse out the tub really well. Guest guest
Yes. If you draw the line down the nutrient elements, 4 are on the left, 1 is a little over the line to the right, and 10 are well over the line to the right.
