Guest guest
Since 1990, more than one hundred and sixty EMS professionals have lost their lives while responding to a strangers call for help. They leave behind husbands and wives, mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters. But most importantly, they leave behind their children. A daughter who will not be able to dance with her daddy at her wedding, a son who will never again see mommy's smile for the flowers he picked for her. The EMS ORPHANS EDUCATION FUND is a non-profit corporation organized in December 2000 and registered with the North Carolina's Attorney General Office. We have filed for and are currently awaiting IRS approval as a 501 © (3) charitable organization. The primary goal of the organization is to assure that every child of an EMS professional who has lost their life in the line of duty is never denied access to post secondary education due to financial constraints brought about by the loss of their parent. This is accomplished by providing educational stipends to these children. In order to achieve our goals, and secure partial funding for our programs, we have partnered with BI-LO through their BI-LO BOOSTERS Program. Each time you shop at BI-LO and use your BONUSCARD, the amount spent will be credited to our account. BI-LO will donate a percentage of the total purchases accumulated and rebates on specific product purchases to our organization. Signing up is easy by calling toll free 1-877-4-BOOSTERS or through the internet at http://www.bi- lo.com/. Please forward this to as many people as possible without spamming. When you enroll, you will be asked your BONUSCARD number, the first three digits of your last name, and our organization number, which is 7060. That's all! We plan to have our web page up and running by May 2001, in the meantime you can join our list at http://www.emsorphansyahoo (DOT) lists.com/ Please feel free to post any comments, fundraising ideas, LODD notices or other losses, items pertaining to safety, or anything else pertaining to EMS Stay Safe and Thank You
