Why this is so is not yet clear, but neurons in adjacent areas of the lower brain stem appear to be implicated, says Dr. Schenck, one of the physicians who first described REM sleep behavior disorder. Guest guest
Amen to this . Don would wake up fighting, or kick the daylights out of me. I got poked in the side or face, just wherever. I would wake him up and asked why he did that, and he didn't know he did anything. He started going to the guest bedroom, because he was concerned he would hurt me. He tore his bedroom up also. He knew and understood a lot about LBD and Parkinson's from early on. Sure enough, now he is so frozen up in a fetal position with Parkinsonism that he can't stand up, or use his legs at all. He is also suffering from Myoclonus. (sp) He jerks involuntarily all the time. Oh the horror of this disease! I'm going to send a picture to my photo album, to let your see how he looked. He has been shaved since then, but the wild scared look is there. We got his eyes open all of thirty second, Maybe. Love a lot, Imogene In a message dated 4/20/2010 4:08:48 A.M. I just got off the phone with one of the members of my support group who was talking about the REM sleep problem and I saw this! Thank you. I will forward it on to my group.
