Guest guest
My 6 year-old is on the second chelation cycle, 25mg DMSA, every 4 hrs., and we noticed that she's urinating too frequently for it to be accounted for by the extra liquids we are giving her. Questions: Is the frequent urination to be expected with DMSA? If so, why? Chemically, what is going on in her body right now? When is it reasonable to expect a noticeable change? Many thanks. Guest guest
I am answering my own post in case anyone is following. My doctor e-mailed me back with the following information regarding my daughter's excessive urination during chelation: " This is common and no one knows why yet. Do not worry about the kidneys. I would be concerned if the child stopped urinating, which would signify possible kidney problems. " I am pushing the fluids more during chelation and observing my daughter carefully. So far, the frequent urination seems to coincide exactly with the taking of DMSA, beginning with the very first capsule.
