Please note that meds that are in the class of anticholinergics, like Enablex is, might cause more hallucinations for LBD patients. If your mom is having good results with the med without nasty side effects then, that's wonderful. Before she was diagnosed with LBD, my mother took two doses of Detrol LA (a different med than Enablex, but both having similar actions - " muscarinic receptor antagonist " ) and her hallucinations increased in severity and duration (as in she totally flipped out reporting murders and theft for 48 hours straight), so we immediately discontinued the drug. Here's a paragraph on side effects of Enablex: Information for Patients Patients should be informed that anticholinergic agents, such as Enablex, may produce clinically significant adverse effects related to anticholinergic pharmacological activity including constipation, urinary retention and blurred vision. Heat prostration (due to decreased sweating) can occur when anticholinergics such as Enablex are used in a hot environment. Because anticholinergics, such as Enablex, may produce dizziness or blurred vision, patients should be advised to exercise caution in decisions to engage in potentially dangerous activities until the drug's effects have been determined. The above is from this website: http://www.drugs.com/pro/enablex.html When you can you may want to spend some time in 's " links " sections. She has filed some uber-useful articles on meds there. Wishing you helpful meds and peaceful nights. Still learning. We're all in this together.
