I try not to read any of his posts if I can help it. notably the others have been telling me to read what he says because he's practically the only grouper there with two brain cells to synapse onto each other. Get this - he is *exactly* like my first sponsor. the similarity is uncanny. Y'know, ppl thought I " hit the jackpot " with my first sponsor - the SOB owns a rehab! Heck, they meant crackpot, not jackpot. > > When I first found arf12s it was really refreshing, and it > gave me an opportunity to get rid of some anger. Nope, its not what addict-l is for. but it is interesting to read - sadly, there was a nice balance a few months ago, but increasingly it's just grouper dominated. > My interest in joining any of these groups or lists is in > finding practical solutions for dealing with the various > binds that 12 step programs have put me in. I got mangled by him a couple of times. what disturbs me greatly is he's a shrink, of all things. He pans liberal shrinks like Laing (gotta admit I aint too much of a fan myself) but the uncanny thing is how what he says is exactly like the kind of " double-bind " Laing talks abt as causing schizophrenia in children. he comes at you in some totally fucked up way, and then tries to claim that youre the one who is fucking things up. at least when he's writing these splurges he cant fuck with a patient's head at the same time. hence, i'd recommend tyou do what I do if you joined - never read him. funnily enough, I mention him a lot but i dont think he mentions me or replies to me now - I exposed his ass a couple of times and I dont think he dare risk it.
