Donna,

I want to introduce myself first. I am Chelle and my two year old daughter

was diagnoised with a moderate hearing loss this past summer.

Welcome - it sounds as if your daughter and Ezekiel were both diagnosed around

the same time and for about the same loss - his is slightly worse and he is a

bit younger, but close. Sorry you had such a battle to get it diagnosed. It's

hard enough to deal with the news without having a battle. Good luck - glad to

hear your daughter is doing well with the aids!

First of all, apparently I've missed seeing a message that has someone

upset.

I think the message referred to was one answering 's request for help with

her IEP situation, in which the response was something like " I'm short of time

you'll have to learn to help yourself " - I think the intent was to be helpful

but perhaps the wording was slightly harsh.

Deb,

Where do you find out about reconstructed hearing aids? Is this

information your audiologist gives you?

I think HIKE (organized and run by Job's daughters does reconstructed aids)

Audiologist should be able to help

Oh......lol.......I didn't realize this. I was not upset. Sometimes I need

some harsh talking. I am a very passive person. Thanks to whomever stood up

for me though! :)
