Its hard when someone you loves seems to forget. I am sorry you had a bad day.

welll my birthday wasnt so hot.. boo hoo:-(

my work threw me a surprize dinner with cake tuesday.. which was nice..

my family wishes my a happy birthday yesterday.. but my kids didnt:-(

my 4 yr old neice wrote me or rather drawed me a letter.. my friend sarita

got me a gift certicate.... i am just soo bummed though.. dont know why plus i

had to work late last nite...

thanks for the good friends who emailed me to wish me a happy birthday i got

a good smile out of the cards:-')

Hey dont feel bad, yesterday was my anniversary. Hubby worked from

6am till 8:30pm then came home and played computer games and I went

to bed at around 9:30. We got a card from his grandma and that was

it. So compared to my day it sounds like you had an awesome birthday!

To Tonya:

Sorry to hear your birthday wasn't so great! I stopped expecting

anything special on mine from my family. I've told my DH several

times that what would mean most to me on my birthday is just have a

nice dinner together (either home or out) and buy me a cake. Doesn't

have to be a big one or make me one. But he feels that it's

ridiculous that someone would want a cake past the age of 12! I took

offense at that. I told him just because it may not mean anything to

him, doesn't mean it doesn't mean anything to me. Oh well. He's

gotten better, but I dread birthdays for that reason. He'll worry

about what to do for me and then do nothing or do it after my

birthday! Then, I don't mind that, but he'll beat himself up about

letting me down. I always try to make my kids' birthdays and my DHs

birthday special. It would just be nice to have one of them think

like that too.

Anyway, sorry for the book!!! Do something nice for yourself, even if

it's just getting out to a movie or taking a bubble bath!!!!

In our house. On someones Bday there are two choices. Choice 1 is we go to there

fav resturant and come home for cake Option 2 we eat there favorite meal here at

home and have cake. We also have a party the weekend before or after for the

kids bdays. This past May was les 5th Birthday but 1st Bday party I

thought she would enjoy it but she did not know how to react. She couldnt

understand that all the presents were hers and You wont believe this but she was

too scared to blow out the candles. It was a nice day but she didnt smile much I

think she was trying to understand it all. she fell asleep right after the

guests left and woke in the am very happy that all her toys and cool clothes

were still there. It was a great day.... after all

I think Bdays are important and should be celebrated my BF does not believe in
