Our local paper (Everett, WA) ran a front page (below the fold) story about a nationwide shortage of the tetanus vaccine caused when a manufacturer decided to quit making the vaccine. It says it takes 11 months to make it. Only one manufacturer (Aventis Pasteru) in the US makes it now. Now only public health depts, hospital ERs, and burn units will receive shipments. Says the shortage doesn't affect the DTaP. No indication of why the company quit making it......$? or legal fees? I wonder. S Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
