Well, had his very worst year from 4.5-5.5 years old but his

development has been very atypical even on the autism scale.

;-)

I have a feeling your girls will continue to do great!

Grace,

Happy Birthday to your girls!!!!! When Alec turned 4 this past dec

I couldnt believe it. It is a feeling or accomplishment to have

survived all the rough times together. What a wonderful morning to

have them smiling and ready to go to school. Have a wonderful day!

Have I told you lately how much your girls have improved?

Wow! Happy birthday to the girls. I didn't know

their birthday was coming so quickly.

Four whole years. It seems like forever and no time

at all at the same time. Taken day by day it is

forever. Looking back on it, for me anyway, it seems

so short a time. Next thing you know we will be

saying this when they turn 10 or 15 or (gulp!) twenty.

I hope your night out with the family was a good one.

Hope the girls enjoyed their birthday.

THANKS, Jacquie.

Yea.... either they have improved somewhat, or I have. Both, I guess. :o)

I, too, was astonished at what a feeling of accomplishment that day was. I

know for a fact that I did not feel that great on birthday #3. In fact, it

was quite gloomy..... " 3 years and still just this " kind of feeling.

Melancholic?

We did have a great day together. The evening festivities didn't pan out as

planned as my FIL got sick and couldn't come, but having my aunt here kept

my spirits up, and they liked their mocha cake. LOL

Does that thought scare you as much as it does ME?

It was that way for me with Putter. I spent his third birthday crying

because there was no way I could persuade myself that there was nothing

wrong with a three year old who didn't talk, wasn't interested in his

presents AT ALL, and who was so distant and different. But at four there

was progress! He didn't really talk yet, but he opened his presents! There

was hope. It was a great birthday.

Five was better and six was better still.

That scares me right down to my tippy toes.

My baby boy. The very last baby coming from my body

will be one year old in about a half an hour and I am

not ready. I want him to be my baby forever. I

cannot believe he is a year already. I keep thinking

that he will be going to school and everything and I

will still be thinking he should be my baby.

Waaaaa...

Ebony is getting sooo big so fast. She will be five

by the end of the summer. FIVE!!! That is crazy.

Ah, well, Tamara, my baby is three. Both terrible information and a relief.

Odd how these things can be so mixed up.

But happy birthday to your little one.
