Guest guest
Hi Imogene, It is when my back is aching the most - and also pains to bend just a little forward and back - that is when I have problems with both the bowel and the bladder. The nerves that come off of the spinal cord at that level (I only have the L5-S1 fused so it has to be one above that, I would think) are responsible for the muscular action and I think also, for me, the lack of sensation that I have to urinate until the last minute...sometimes not being able to hold it until I get to the bathroom. After I feel a little better, the boweal and bladder symptoms disappear also. Hope this helps! Joan > > Darling Joan, yes my doctor would know that and so do I.
