Guest guest
Hi, All, I just signed on to this e-list today, when I first read about it. My father is in late-stage LBD. A neurologist did diagnose Parkinson's several years ago, but never mentioned LBD. Then my sister was doing research and came across the book " Life in the Balance " by Dr. Graboys, describing his LBD. It fit my father so well, he could have written the book. My father is in an assisted living facility. They just yesterday requested a meeting with my sister to discuss his care plan; I know his need for care has increased quite a lot in the last six months. The assisted living has been very good to him, but we have some concerns about his future care. He can stay there indefinitely, but he's alone in his room a lot. I don't know what would happen if he needed to be fed. He's not able to really walk anymore, and has fallen in the bathroom. Anyway, I'm sure list members here don't need me to describe his symptoms. I'll be checking in here to read others' experiences and maybe ask the occasional question. Peace to all, Ellen
