Hi everyone,

I wanted to throw out the topic of weight lifting/strength training to

y'all.

I have always been fairly active (walking, biking, hiking, dog romping,

dancing, swimming, skating, etc.) For years (in my smaller days ;) I went

to the gym and did cardio as well as worked on the strength machines on a

regular basis. My lifestyle has definitely become more sedentary in the 6

years that have passed since I graduated from college and have spent 10

hours a day sitting in front of a desk.

Exercise has fast become a top priority for me since starting WW last month.

I manage to get a good hour in just about every day with my pooch (walking,

running, wrestling, throwing a ball, hiking, etc.) as well as the occasional

swim or bike ride. It's not that I " don't have the time " to go to the gym

but more my dog needs the exercise as much as I do so we might as well be

workout buddies.

The point: I know weight lifting/strength training is vital to increasing

and maintaining muscle when losing weight. How do you folks who don't go to

a gym with machines incorporate your strength training into your day?

I moved last weekend, so hauling my crap is pretty much the only weight

lifting I've done in a long time!!!
