I think the straw that broke the camel's back was that " HAVE A DRINK AND

CHILL, KENNY " garbage. The little piece of human waste that started that

deserves a really bad suprise.

Sometimes I actually need to hear the voice of reason because I can run with

some anger. I can't imagine why some of the people who actually feel OK with

12-step programs don't tell those idiots to shut up. I really don't know of

anyone in a 12-step program who would tell someone that. Pee-Wee is one sick

bastard.

He is a sick puppy. But Ken handles him well. I don't think Ken is all up

in arms because Reese continues to offer him a bottle of old granddad. I

got Ken's book and the chapter about early childhood experiences reveals a

great deal of where Ken is going with his piercing questions put to Reese

succinctly.

I also think that the recovery needs of people who have had bad experiences

with 12 step programs will be comparable to the need people have to find

recovery programs in the first place. I'ts an unknown quantity but I think

it is a massive number. But it will be largely unrecorded due to the nature

of the problem. I mean, how many people go to their family doctor and say

" I need help to recover from AA " ? It's like rape, domestic violence and

racial attacks-- it's largely unreported. Except it is even more unreported

than those things- at least there are laws and criminal prosecutions

applicable in those cases. Someone who doesn't like AA is told very often

that it is simply because they are in denial and it is their fault.

here

This is true. Folks who need to recovery from 12-step assaults on the psyche

sometimes don't even know why they are so miserable. I did not know how

much the AA program was to blame for my own problems until I found the

information. I knew my whole life was the steps and the groupers, and that

I was angry and severly depressed, but I still blamed myself, because that's

what you're taught in AA. I had to be actually suicidal, and drink rather than

kill myself, in order to leave AA.

>Joe: your right. Anger does breed anger.

Yup. On the net its a virus- it is self-replicating, doesn't think, and

only needs a suitable environment in which to propagate itself- an angry

human host. Not that it isn't useful as well sometimes (I put that bit in

for Ken ;-)).
