Guest guest
I went to the doctor Monday for my six month checkup. I was a little concerned because I knew my numbers had been a little higher than the previous six months. My results: Cholesterol 198 Triglyceride 74 LDL 102 HDL 81 HbA1C 6.5 My doctor was pleased. In fact, she tells other patients how well I'm doing. The next six months the HbA1c will probably be down in the 5% range again. After all, this is for someone that eats almost anything they want (in small portions) and not on medication. She also did the urine test for kidneys. I did not get the results of that, so I'm sure it is fine. If not, my doctor would have called me. She is very thorough and very concerned about all her patients. Oh, I just thought about what caused my HbA1c to be higher!!! It is the aroma from all the baking I have been doing for the past month. I know all of you agree with me!!!!! LOL. I love baking cookies, cakes, etc this time of year to give as gifts and my family would probably disown me if I did give them baked goods, especially chocolate chip cookies. It doesn't bother me that I can't sit down with a glass of milk and eat 5 cookies.
