Guest guest
First of all, welcome to you Gretchen. Sorry you have chronic pain, but glad you've found this group! Can't tell you what a bunch of great folks there are here - you'll soon find out yourself, I'm sure. As to the piroxicam, I can relate! I've taken it for years now and, twice went to my doc telling him I don't think it helps. After a week of not taking it, THEN I can tell the difference. I've tried several other NSAID's (at least six others) and it works for me, and is much less expensive (under $6 for 3 months' supply). I take pain medication also, but sure can tell if I cut out the piroxicam! Again, welcome to you. in Oregon --- " sugarcatgrl " wrote: > > Hello, I'm Gretchen and am here on this site for the first time. I so relate to your post! I have osteoarthritis and fused vertabrae and have to work with chronic pain. I've been scared lately that I won't be able to do my job anymore. My Piroxicam doesn't seem to do anything and I'm allergic to most pain meds.

I'm glad to know it actually does do something; I was going to stop taking it but now I won't. Glad you gave me the heads up!
