,

I go to a doctor in another state but that is because there is no Rheumatologist

in my county and I live on the state line.  My insurance covers the doctors in

the next town in the next state over so it isn't a problem.

I don't think going out of town is a problem unless your insurance does not pay

for out of state coverage.  I would check with them first so that they do not

deny you payment.  You might just explain that you need a specialist and there

is not one in your town (if this is the case).

If not, then tell them that the doctor in your town is not addressing your

problem and that you would rather change doctors and find someone who would make

you better than continue to go over and over again to a doctor who is not

helping at all.

In the long run you would be saving the insurance company money by finding a

doctor who can help.
