Now to the question.....Tys playlets have always been low...so nothing new there...but in Dec with labs they were 45,000 then when we went to his Immunology appointment on the 2nd of Jan they were 22,000...which they called to tell us so we could go down to the NIH with that info....while there his playlet count came back as unreadable....because his playlets were clumping....

now again with his labs from last fridays Remicade they came back again...as unreadable...due to clumping...

The NIH doctors talked to me about Hemalitic Anemia...this is a new one to me....they also mentioned something about anti-bodies clinging to his playlets making them stick together....so they are looking into these things....has anyone heard of this....

I have wanted to get on the computer and do some research but between no time and then the computer acting up for 2 days....this is the first I have had any time to get on...and I am supposed to be paying the bills...lol....oh well I will get to that next....

so if anyone has any info please let me know....

Hi Luanne,

The condition I was thinking of is IPC - idiopathic thrombocytopenia(sp) and a case I saw on TV recently was a boy who had this and had his spleen (which was very enlarged) removed. I don't know if that is Ty's trouble, but I see you have written to Aubrey again so I'll leave the ball on his side of the net!

Love Barbara (UK)
