What I would have done differently for my mother with dementia, had I known what

I know now.

Hindsight is 20/20. I was recently asked what I would have done differently for

my mother, who died from vascular dementia, if I knew then what I knew now.

Here's the answer, and it has to do with earlier and better diagnosis, earlier

planning for long term care, reaching out for help, and a better and sustained

program of cognitive activities. And hugs.
